Barbara Shore
Barbara Shore is a contemporary painter from Southwestern Ontario, Canada, now living and working in St. Albert, Alberta. With over 20 years of experience in mixed media painting, she holds a certificate in Fine Art from the University of Alberta.
Drawn to the female form, Barbara captures fleeting moments that invite viewers into a timeless world, evoking emotion, memory, and connection. Her work is characterized by thoughtful use of composition, color, layering, and texture, constantly evolving as she explores both figurative and abstract expression. Barbara incorporates non-traditional tools and techniques, allowing her painting process to become an intuitive and emotional journey.
Her work has been juried and exhibited in shows across Alberta and British Columbia, including the International Society of Experimental Artists’ “Pushing Boundaries” and the International Society of Acrylic Painters’ 11th Annual International Online Exhibition, where she received an award. She is a member of local, national, and international art societies and has served on the Board of Directors for V.A.S.A., a local art society.
