Dan Ryan

An artist recognized for his skill and intuitive talent throughout secondary school, Dan moved to Baffin Island after graduating, where he continued to sketch and paint. It was here that he was influenced by the landscape and the way he looked at nature. The scenery and wildlife of the high Arctic had a profound impact. Dan went on to enter the Ontario College of Art and later received instruction in the art of illustration and advertising design at Sheridan College. His training as an illustrator has given him a solid foundation for his art.

Upon finishing college he went into the field of advertising and design was employed for many years as an Art Director and Designer, eventually transitioning to a full time artist as demands for his work steadily increased. After living in Toronto for most of his life, Dan recently relocated back to the beautiful beach community of Brights Grove on the shores of Lake Huron where he continues to paint full time.

Dan's paintings can be found in private homes, galleries and corporations throughout North America.
