Linelle LeMoine
Linelle LeMoine is a Canadian mixed media painter whose work explores the natural world through intuitive mark-making and abstract expression. Drawing on a background in science and psychiatry, she creates paintings on canvas and wood panels that combine organic forms, layered textures, and the influence of Abstract Expressionists such as Cy Twombly and Joan Mitchell.
After an 18-year career in psychiatry, LeMoine pursued her passion for art, studying at the John Smith School of Art, Ontario School of Art, and Toronto School of Art, earning a diploma in 2003. Her work is inspired by biology, her tranquil Toronto studio, and the tactile process of painting, emphasizing human intuition, creativity, and the physical act of making art in an increasingly digital world.
LeMoine’s practice demonstrates a commitment to mixed media techniques, abstract composition, and contemporary Canadian painting, offering unique interpretations of nature that resonate with collectors and galleries.
