Roz Hermant

Roz Hermant is a local, Peterborough-based fine art photographer. Born and raised in Toronto, she migrated to the west to attend school in Vancouver.  After finishing a degree in English Literature from UBC, a traveling expedition to South and Central America fueled her desire to make photographs and she subsequently attended and graduated from Emily Carr Institute with a degree in Photography.  Her travels have always influenced her art practice and she has no plans of slowing down. Ever searching for what makes a captivating photograph, she is a firm believer that the best camera there is, is the one you have with you. Her approaches to photography push the boundaries of what many believe photography to be. Her work has been shown in galleries and is held in private collections across Canada and the United States.
