Jacquelyn Sloane Siklos
Canadian artist Jacquelyn Sloane Siklos works in photography and painting. Her work is primarily landscape focussed.
Her paintings use layers of acrylic paint to create a glassy, abstract finish to her abstracted landscapes. Layers of dragged colour create hints of colour and metallic acrylics add a shimmering depth.
Her fascination with the play of light can also be seen in her photography - from more sharply focussed images of sky and water, to more abstract water imagery, and gently distorted images of cities, created with tilt shift Lensbaby lenses, and sometimes additional light and colour distortions painted digitally onto the image.
Jacquelyn has a background in fine art and photography from University of Toronto and Sheridan College, followed by a degree in illustration and graphic design from Ontario College of Art and Design. She lives and works in Toronto.
