Jacquelyn Sloane Siklos
Jacquelyn Sloane Siklos is a Canadian artist working in photography and painting, with a primary focus on landscape. Her acrylic paintings explore abstracted landscapes through layered techniques, producing a glassy, luminous finish. Dragged color layers subtly reveal hidden hues, while metallic acrylics add shimmering depth and texture.
Jacquelyn’s fascination with the play of light also informs her photography. She captures everything from sharply focused skies and water to abstracted aquatic imagery, as well as softly distorted cityscapes created with tilt-shift Lensbaby lenses and enhanced digitally with painted light and color effects.
She studied Fine Art and Photography at the University of Toronto and Sheridan College, and later earned a degree in Illustration and Graphic Design from OCAD University. Jacquelyn lives and works in Toronto, creating work that bridges the line between observation, abstraction, and artistic interpretation.
