Antony Ellis

Antony Ellis is a filmmaker and photographer, originally from Birmingham, England. Relocating to Canada as a child, Ellis has developed a distinctive approach as a candid photographer, capturing portraits, urban scenes, and rural landscapes with immediacy and sensitivity.

His work has been recognized and collected by prominent institutions. In 2018, “Kensington Splash” and “Organic Graffiti” were acquired for the Government of Ontario’s Archival Art Collection. More recently, his pieces “888 Dupont” and “Bathurst Skater” were purchased by the Toronto Reference Library for their Canadian Documentary Art Collection in 2023, underscoring his contributions to contemporary Canadian photography.
