Geraldine Gillingham
Geraldine Gillingham is a contemporary Canadian painter whose work celebrates color, movement, and intuitive expression. After a rewarding career as a teacher and guidance counsellor, she returned to her integral passion for painting, studying with a variety of professional artists in Ontario.
Her process combines pastel, charcoal, and acrylic dips and pours with layers of saturated oil paint, creating vibrant, dynamic compositions that convey joy and energy. Inspired by her surroundings, nature, and memories of her childhood home in Newfoundland, Geraldine’s work is included in private collections across Canada, the United States, and the West Indies.
