Florence Victor
Florence Victor is a Montreal-based contemporary artist and art historian specializing in painting, drawing, and visual arts research. She studied literature at Université de Montréal, theatre at UQAM, and painting and drawing at Concordia University. She went on to complete advanced studies in art history at UQAM, earning a Master’s degree focused on Italian Renaissance portraiture and a PhD in painting and art history, supported by a CRSH grant.
Florence Victor’s artwork spans contemporary painting, fine art, and mixed media, combining technical skill with conceptual depth. Her paintings and drawings explore themes of portraiture, human expression, and historical influences on modern visual culture. Her work is included in private and corporate art collections across Canada, the USA, France, Belgium, England, and Australia, and has been featured in exhibitions, galleries, and art publications internationally.
