Paul Schibli

Paul Schibli was born and raised in Montreal, and is currently living in Russell, Ontario just outside Ottawa. He knew from early on that art would play a major role in my life. Initially cartooning was his form of expression which lead to a career in animation. Having directed several series and The Nutcracker Prince, a theatrical feature, the collaborative approach of animation eventually gave way to fine art, a more personal approach of expression. Watercolours have given way to oils as his medium of choice. Drawn to the beauty and diversity of nature, he seeks to capture the light, mood, and colour harmonies of nature, whether it be a peony, a milkweed, a water reflection or a vista. He holds a BA in Communication Arts from Loyola College (Concordia). His paintings are in collections across the country and he has exhibited for several years primarily in Ottawa and Toronto.
