Galen Felde
Galen Felde is a contemporary Canadian painter based in Vancouver, British Columbia, whose work explores the intersection of natural and urban landscapes. Her paintings address memory, empathy, impermanence, and our evolving relationship with the environment, blending familiar landforms with abstracted elements. Using acrylic texturing, under-painting, feathered brushwork, and multiple transparent washes on wood panel, Felde creates layered compositions that are both visually rich and conceptually engaging.
Felde studied visual arts and contemporary dance in Vancouver, London (UK), and Montreal, Quebec. She has been a full-time professional artist for over 20 years, exhibiting annually and maintaining gallery representation in Vancouver and Toronto. Her work is collected internationally, reflecting her reputation as a contemporary Canadian artist with a distinctive approach to landscape abstraction.
