Jacquelyn Sloane Siklos

Jacquelyn Sloane Siklos studied at the University of Toronto, receiving a B.A. in fine art and art history, and graduated in Graphic Design and Illustration from the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD). Jacquelyn worked as a graphic designer for a number of years at a major Toronto design firm, Gottschalk + Ash (G+A). After leaving G+A, in 2000, she continued to work as a freelance graphic designer. She began on a full-time professional art practice in 2006. Her work has been selected for inclusion in several juried exhibitions. She uses a variety of different cameras and techniques to create her images, including a traditional Leica rangefinder, so called "toy cameras" – Lomo, Holga and pinhole – and a digital SLR. She often continues the image-making process with post-processing on the computer in order to achieve precise results in the finished print. She lives and works in Toronto.
