Isabelle Trudel-Benoit is an artist who resides in the Montreal region. She holds a Major in Creative Arts from the University of Montreal and also a Bachelors degree in Visual Arts from the University of Quebec in Montreal. Through abstraction and figurative work, her pieces reveal not what is visible, but what is real in essence. Since 2004, Isabelle has participated in numerous artistic events in Montreal and its surroundings. (i.e. theatre decors, live painting, symposiums and festivals). In 2005, she was awarded the FIMA Discovery Prize and also the Jury’s special Mention prize at the Frelighsburg Festiv’Art. In 2006, she presented two independent shows, one at Coop Arto in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu and another at the D Gallery in downtown Montreal. In 2007, she was the proud recepient of the FIMA Excellence Prize. She is currently represented by Canvas Gallery in Toronto.
