Rebecca EricksonAmerican born, Canadian raised, she started her B.F.A. at the University of Manitoba and completed it at York University in 1982.Trained in performance and multi media art she spent several years after graduation making mixed media objects and documenting site specific environmental pieces, but not exhibiting. A decade long break from art making, to train in a second career and start a family, ended with a mentorship printmaking study at Open Studio in Toronto. Currently she produces mixed media pieces on paper or canvas that are influenced by textiles, colour, layers and pattern.
