Mark Behrmann
Mark Behrmann is a painter living in Toronto, he attended OCAD from 1993 to 1996. Since 1996, Behrmann has focused on decay and repair in the urban environment. In his recent body of work he continues the same idea using a different approach. Rather than look for inspiration in the urban environment, Behrmann uses incomplete work, which he disassembles, reassembles, destroys, and repairs, again and again, until the work is resolved. The newest work is the manifestation of this process. Behrmann’s paintings are included in private collections in Canada, Holland, Mexico, England, the United States, and Germany.
